Andrew Tomlinson & Jonathan Woolley are Directors of the Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO). With offices in New York (Tomlinson) and Geneva (Woolley), QUNO represents the Friends through working with governments, UN Agencies and NGOs. QUNO work on a number of issues connected to reducing violence including peace building, disarmament and the prevention of conflict. They also have a particular focus on facilitating dialogue. In 2010 they conducted “quiet diplomacy” in Burundi to encourage civil society participation in the peace building process. Before joining QUNO Tomlinson worked in the financial sector in London and New York, while Woolley has worked in agricultural research, development and capacity building in some fifty countries.
