Angélique Kidjo is a Grammy award winning musician and activist from Benin. Kidjo has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2002 and in 2010 was appointed a Peace Ambassador by the African Union. She has performed numerous gigs supporting causes in Africa ranging from the empowerment of women to peace in Congo. The BBC listed Kidjo as one of the 50 most iconic figures in Africa and The Guardian listed her in the Top 100 Most Inspiring Women in the World.Angélique Kidjo
