Puerto Rican band
Calle 13 is a Puerto Rican band featuring step brothers Rene Joglar, Eduardo Martinez, and their half-sister IIeana Joglar. Hugely popular across Latin America, their song “La Bala” (the bullet) deals with the domino effect of violence and was part of a joint venture with UNICEF to raise awareness of gun violence. They were also part of campaigns against human trafficking and an educational initiative to stop people firing bullets into the air while celebrating.
