Fatou Bensouda

Fatou Bensouda has been the International Criminal Court’s Chief Prosecutor since June 2012, replacing the first Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo. As such, she has the responsibility of investigating situations, and determining which individuals should be charged with the crimes under the jurisdiction of the court. Most recently, she has opened a full scale investigation into the situation in Mali. Born in Gambia, Bensouda has been awarded World Peace through Law Award and named as one of the 100 most Influential African Personalities.Fatou Bensouda
