Juliana Rotich

Juliana Rotich is Executive Director and Co-founder of Ushaihidi, a web based reporting system for crowd sourced data. Meaning ‘testimony’ in Swahili, Ushaidi allows people in disaster or emergency systems to report on what is happening to them. The system was originally developed to track electoral violence in Kenya in 2008 and has since been used to map violence in Gaza, humanitarian needs in Libya, and electoral monitoring in Libya. Rotich is also a Senior Ted Fellow and in 2011 was named Social Entrepreneur of the year 2011 by the World Economic Forum.Juliana Rotich
