Malala Yousafzai is a young girl from Pakistan who was shot in the head when she was 15 by Taliban gunmen, due to her advocacy and activism for educational and women’s rights. She continues to advocate for the right of girls to go to school, even though the Taliban have stated that they will target her again if she continues to do so. Malala is the youngest Nobel Peace Prize nominee in history.
