Patrick de Saint-Exupery is the editor-in-chief of XXI magazine and a former foreign correspondent for Le Figaro, France Soir and other French newspapers. He has covered conflicts across the world but has especially focused on conflict and violence in Africa.
Saint-Exupery has written particularly extensively about the Rwandan genocide of 1994. He covered the conflict at the time for Le Figaro, and wrote a book (L’Inavouable or Unspeakable) about the conflict. He won the Albert Londres Award in 1991 for his coverage of the Liberian Civil War.
