Ramita Navai is a British-Iranian journalist and a reporter for Channel 4’s foreign affairs series Unreported World. Navai worked as the Tehran correspondent for The Times from 2003 to 2006, and covered events such as parliamentary and presidential elections, human rights cases and the escalating nuclear crisis.
She has reported from Afghanistan in 2005 investigating the status of women for the Sunday Herald, and covered the 2007 refugee crisis in Iraqi Kurdistan for UNHCR. Navai has been on assignment to over 20 countries for the Unreported World series, including Sudan, Afghanistan, Egypt, Nigeria, El Salvador and Zimbabwe.
