Steve Goose

Stephen Goose is Director of Human Rights Watch’s Arms Division. Together with Human Rights Watch, Goose was instrumental in bringing about bans on antipersonnel mines, blinding lasers, and the 2003 protocol on explosive remnants of war. He is also at the forefront of efforts to address the humanitarian dangers of cluster munitions and is currently chair of the Cluster Munition Coalition. Goose and HRW are currently leading efforts to ban killer robots and to develop new standards governing the use of explosive weapons in populated areas. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch in 1993 Goose worked in the US Congress and at the Center for Defense Information.Steve Goose
