Tetra Tech Syria, September 2016 – present
Under a cooperative agreement with US Department of State, Tetra Tech’s EOD experts clear and dispose ERW, including IEDs, VBIEDs, and multiple MK-80 air bombs, in areas liberated from ISIS in northeast Syria. We also trained a cadre of Syrian nationals to form a core team capable of conducting explosive clearance operations and educate Syrian refugees and IDPs regarding explosive hazards. These efforts include multiple relevant services conducted in close collaboration with the U.S. military and Syrian Democratic Forces.
