In the Ukrainian conflict, AOAV – which takes its sources from reputable English language media – has recorded up to the 08 Aug, 7,049 casualties from explosive weapon use across 788 incidents; this includes some 5,901 civilian casualties (2,463 killed, 3,438 injured).

18 killed and 28 injured in Russian missile strike on shopping centre in central Ukraine, Monday 27 June.
On Monday 27 June, at around 3.50pm, a Russian air-launched Kh-22 cruise missile struck a shopping centre in the town of Kremenchuk. At the latest count, 18 people were killed, 59 injured, and 36 are still missing.

At least three people were killed and 19 injured in a Russian airstrike on schools in Novhorod-Siverskyi, Chernihiv, on Thursday 12 May. Russian troops reportedly fired several missiles at a school and boarding school, damaging an administrative building and some residential houses in the ensuing fire.
