Explosive violence by the Saudi-led coalition

Over the past decade (2014-2023), AOAV has recorded 614 incidents of explosive weapons use attributed to the Saudi-led coalition, all of which occurred in Yemen. The coalition has reportedly killed and injured 10,058 civilians (4,946 fatalities), as well as 3,163 armed actors (2,717 killed). ​​

Air-launched weapons account for 98% (9,897) of civilian casualties attributed to the Saudi-led coalition. ​​

The majority of civilians were recorded in coalition attacks on urban residential areas, which account for 24% (2,458) of civilian casualties. Other locations impacted by attacks attributed to the Saudi-led coalition include markets (1,130 civilian casualties),public buildings (890), armed bases (709), villages (554), and commercial premises (474).
