Social media advocacy
An important part of AOAV’s work is advocacy – ensuring that the harms of armed violence are known and encouraging states and other international actors to implement efforts to reduce this harm.
One way in which AOAV reach out and spread our message is through social media. Volunteers can be an important part of this work; sharing revelant AOAV data and engaging interested parties.
Social media advocacy may be particularly suited to those who only have a few hours a week they can dedicate but still want to have a substantial impact. Those who have more time to devote are also highly encouraged to contact us.
For more information on how you can volunteer for AOAV and assist with their social media advocacy please contact Jennifer Dathan – jdathan@aoav.org.uk
