Optima is a UK-based private consultancy and training company specialising in C-IED services. They deliver ‘threat specific consultancy, trials and training services to governments, development agencies and multinational corporations.’ They operate multiple programmes at the same time in different locations across the globe. Their training personnel are all ex-military or police professionals. Alongside their training programmes, they also have a research department making use of expertise and data collected in the field.
Optima’s website describes their various activities as follows:
- Developing C-IED, EOD, Search and Ammunition Management capabilities for organisations including HMG, UN and international development agencies
- Risk: Security and risk management solutions for commercial agencies
- Alliances: Long-term alliances with organisations across all business areas
- Law: Building partnerships with law enforcement agencies internationally
They provide technological consultancy and testing services for C-IED technologies and broader C-IED consultancy services world-wide.
