In September 2014 Optima Group was contracted to deliver Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) Awareness Training to MINUSMA forces in Mali.
Optima Group provided a team of 12 C-IED and Search experts for the six-week training. Within this time, they trained approximately 2500 troops from a variety of nations, providing them with the understanding and awareness necessary to reduce the threat from IEDs.
As of February 2016 a total of 3,159 peacekeeping troops had received the training.
