The Palestinian Authority Security Forces (PASF) are the security forces of the Palestinian Authority who govern the West Bank. In regard to counter-IED and counterterrorism, the PASF monitor and intervene to prevent violence from Hamas, Palestine Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), who operate from the West Bank.
They have successfully intervened to prevent terrorist attacks from such groups against the IDF, and other Israeli targets. They have also been responsible for the arrest of terrorist in groups such as Hamas.
