Tetra Tech Iraq, Dec 2018 – present

Tetra Tech is tasked by US Department of State to survey, mark, and clear explosive hazards from habitable areas and critical infrastructure in areas liberated from Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Ninewa and Anbar Governorates.  These efforts include technical and non-technical survey and clearance of ERW, including UXO, IEDs, and other explosive hazards, as well as risk education and community liaison. Tetra Tech also helps build Iraqi EOD capacity, and collaborates with Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), Coalition and international stakeholders, sharing specialty tools and render-safe procedures (RSPs) on the ever-evolving IEDs found during our taskings.  In 2019 to date, Tetra Tech has surveyed nearly 12 million square meters and cleared over 2 million square meters of buildings, airports, hospitals, roads, bridges, fuel depots, and power infrastructure, recovering more than 6,200 kg NEQ of explosive hazards for disposal in coordination with ISF.
